2008 Summer Float Series
This year's line-up will be just as great as last years. We will update you with dates as they are solidified.

"Gliding by the Oxbow" - Friday, Aug. 15

 River Clean-Up Day
Sunday, June 1st - Volunteers are needed to join the eight whitewater rafting companies in cleaning up the Snake River on Sunday, June 1. Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Mad River boathouse, 1255 S. Highway 89. Bagels will be served for breakfast. Volunteers can pick up trash bags and will be assigned a section of river to clean between Wilson and Sheep Gulch. Those without boats can clean ramps or roads.

Mad River will host a party for all volunteers that night beginning at 9 p.m. Free burgers and beer will be served, and raffle prizes will include river gear, restaurant gift certificates and outdoor clothing. Information: Mary Bess at 733-6203.



 2008 Summit On the Snake
Saturday, May 31st
- To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and the 10th anniversary of the Snake River Fund, this year's Summit on the Snake will highlight the magic of rivers with a plethora of exciting presentations during the day and an amazing assortment of films during the evening. The day-time event runs from 9-5; the evening event is from 6:30-9:30, both at the Jackson Campus of the Teton Science Schools.

Dance of the Waters -
Enjoy a night of Native American history and culture on the river, as Shoshone storyteller Willie LeClair visits from the Wind River Reservation to talk about native ways. Ken Thomasma, author of The Truth about Sacajawea, also will participate.
